And Now We're Here

before and after.

When I first started this blog, I thought it would be a piece of cake - Snap a few photos here, write a few fashion tips there, and my blog would be a hit. Little did I know how much I needed to learn and how much work actually went into crafting a decent fashion blog! From the production side of blogging (finding locations, shooting outfit pics, and styling outfits) to the advertising & marketing side (promoting, negotiating collaborations, and monetizing), I feel like I've learned so much yet everyday is still a new learning experience.

When I look back at my very first outfit photo pictured above, I compared it to a photo taken exactly one year later and I can truly see how my little blog had progressed. The outfit one year later is a better reflection of my style, I learned how to do my makeup, and the photography is a million times better. And although time has flown and I can barely believe I've been blogging for almost 1.5 years now, this journey certainly has had it's ups and downs.

I can't count the number of times I've felt frustrated with blogging to the point of giving up. Whether it's a lack of time to shoot photos & write posts, negotiated collaborations falling through, or negativity from a few readers & bloggers, all of these and more weighed me down and pushed me to almost quitting the blog world. But for some reason each time I felt like deleting my blog, something told me to keep going and shoot a few more outfit photos, and boy am I glad I did!

Now, I can't remember the last time I had even the slightest thought to take a hiatus from blogging. Styling outfits and contributing posts to my blog has become a part of my life, and I am extremely happy when I look back on my blogging experience and decided to continue on in the face of adversity.

Thank you all for your amazing support and motivating messages throughout this last year and a half. It's been an amazing journey, and here's to many more!

And finally, here's a motivational message brought to you by Planters and ThePowerOfThePeanut.com discussing The Personal Peanut and striving through difficulties and doubts:
