It seems whenever Fall and Winter first come around, my schedule always becomes extremely busy the first week or two. Whether it's work or the mall that occupies my time, I really should devote more time to my Fall/Winter skincare and beauty regimen. I've been trying out a lot of new products lately and these are some that I think are really great and will definitely make it into my beauty rotation!
First up are these two great products from Savannah Bee Company, and with a name like that you can definitely bet their luxury body care line is completely beeswax-based. I had the wonderful opportunity to try their all-natural beeswax lip glosses and I find myself reaching for these more and more often, especially with the colder months arriving. They hydrate my lips and protect them from the chilly, dry air, leaving them soft and feeling good. With no parabens or petroleum and they don't test on animals yay!, and these three great flavors, they're all I need for this upcoming Fall/Winter.
In addition to their lip glosses, I also got my hands on their Royal Jelly Body Butter and I must say the smell is absolutely delicious. Their body butter is described as the "most previous product from the hive" and is packed with vitamins, lipids, and amino acids to soothe and smooth your skin. I've only used this for a few days but I can definitely testify to their 4.95 out of 5 rating with close to 5,500 reviews!
I don't often wear foundations, powders or BB creams but lately my skin has been not so great see review below of my new pimple potion! so I have been trying different light coverup options for the day. I don't like having a lot on my face, I feel like it clogs my pores, so I usually stick with BB cream if I have to wear something. I had been reading about the new CC creams and haven't really given them a try until Lumene sent me their Time Freeze Anti-Age CC Cream. The great thing about this CC cream is that it's a 6 in 1 product, and even though I've only used it a few times the last two weeks, I can definitely agree with their claims. I find that it does nourish and hydrate while covering my blemishes and imperfections. If you want to make the switch from BB to CC, I definitely recommend giving Lumene's CC cream a try.
And last but most certainly not least, lemon and apple cider vinegar, the magic potion for bumps and blemishes. This inexpensive, natural combination heals pimples over night, leaving your skin smooth and in much better condition! After I've washed my face at night, I'll mix equal parts lemon and apple cider vinegar in the bottle cap, pour the mixture onto a cotton round, and swipe over my face like I would with a toner. I've been doing this every night my skin has been going crazy and it's been more effective than any other pimple medicine I've previously tried. Plus you can pick up a bottle of apple cider vinegar at Trader Joe's for a few dollars and a lemon for a few cents! The only downside? The smell of the vinegar...but I think it's worth it for the result that follows the next morning.
And that's a wrap! Stay tuned for my Fall/Winter Hair Products Preview.
