Welcoming Fall with G by GUESS :: FOUR Prep Star

Chambray turns anything into a closet staple but a top with just chambray trim is sometimes even better because you can wear it with other denim pieces without worrying about whether you might look too western. A chambray trimmed piece works well with other denim pieces but looks equally as good with more sophisticated fall prints like baroque, darker florals, etc. It's a great way to lighten up the darker prints and dress down any colors or prints that might be too formal for the occasion.

I wanted to keep this look simple and really emphasize the light chambray trim on the shirt so I stuck with jeans in a similar wash for my bottoms.

A navy blue blazer darkens the look, making it fall appropriate.

And of course, when you've got so much blue going on, cognac is the natural color of choice for accessories.

  4. Such a vintage, 70s vibe. Love the lightwashed flares - I only have a dark pair, but I think this color would make a good addition. Talk to you soon. xx
