I'm not a morning person, never have been and never will be. There was a period of time in grad school where I tried to pretend that I was a morning person, it lasted all of two days. I tried getting up at 6am so that I could have enough time to get ready, eat a breakfast, maybe go over that day's class material, and then head to school. Even though I went to bed at about 11pm the night before, I still couldn't do it. I love sleeping in and I've finally accepted and embraced this. However, sleeping until the last minute doesn't mean that I have to rush through my morning routine.
The good thing about being one who maximizes morning sleep time is that I've developed and refined a morning routine that allows me to cover every base without skimping on the results. What am I talking about? I've found the best and most efficient products that will often allow me to cut my getting ready time down to about an hour, which includes breakfast.
Breakfast is the easiest part, almost. I cut up some fruit the night before and make sure that I've got a bottle of lemon water ready to go lemon water is great for cleansing your system in the morning. This makes mornings super easy as I just need to grab my fruit, yogurt, and down my lemon water.
What comes before breakfast can be time consuming unless you've got the right products. I keep makeup simple. I generally only use SPF and eye cream on my face in the morning. I was previously using at least a serum, light lotion, SPF, and eye cream. But recently I've gotten lazy and just wash my face, tone, and then sun protect. Plus the fact that my sunscreen is all natural and contains moisturizing ingredients definitely means I can get away with just SPF. For makeup, I use one multipurpose cream product for both blush and lip color. And then I finish off with eyeliner. Now that my skin has cleared up, I don't use any concealer or foundation but on days where I need help, I use a light powder foundation to avoid further clogging my pores.
The one part of the morning that I hated the most was moisturizing. In fact, I hate moisturizing at any time of the day. The results are great and I'm always glad after the fact but the actual act of moisturizing your whole body is time consuming and leaves everything feeling greasy, so I hate it. But recently I discovered Vaseline's new product, Spray & Go Moisturizer. This product has been a life saver and has made soft skin so much easier to attain. The Spray & Go Moisturizer is similar to the sunscreen sprays and it absorbs into the skin in just seconds, which means you aren't left greasy and wondering when you can actually get dressed.
If you're like me and can't stand getting up early in the mornings, try out some multi-use products to help save time and try Vaseline's Spray & Go Moisturizer. With a continuous spray lotion that moisturizes and absorbs in seconds, you can speed up your morning routine and get dressed fast so that you can focus on other things like breakfast, working out, or even watching some tv!
Vaseline Spray and Go Moisturizer is a quick, continuous 360 spray lotion that moisturizes deeply and absorbs in seconds, so you can put your clothes right on and get on with your day.
