I'll admit, I've been slacking on the outfit blogging during the past week and a half - but only because I've been working on a new venture! If you haven't already guessed, I started a law firm. It was time to branch out and start something new, so I took the plunge. While it's been a crazy couple of weeks, things are finally up and running, so I can get back to blogging! However, this means that you now have a friend in the legal field :) so if you're in the Bay Area and are looking for an attorney, you know who to call!
Since I'm now working on my own, I have the opportunity to go Legally Blonde and experiment with my wardrobe, meaning: more colors, textures, and styles. Therefore I thought it would be fun to share three of my favorite office looks that I've been recently sporting.
I've always been a fan of unique suit sets but have never taken the time or money to actually hunt one down. It just seemed like too much work to try and find the perfect one. But when I saw this multi-colored, tweed-like textured, set with shorts! on Style Says, I couldn't resist.
I loved everything about it. The tweed-like texture is feminine but still professional enough for the office. And although there's quite a few colors going on, the black detailing and nude lining help to streamline everything for a polished, modern look.
The shorts sealed the deal.
Since the suit set is on the more liberal side of office attire, I decided to go conservative with the inside so I opted for a plain nude tee. It matches the subtle nude piping and lining on the jacket and complements the suit set colors.
Since the suit set contains streaks of mauve and light blue, I went with darker shades in the same color families for accessories. Can't go wrong with a burgundy bag and navy shoes.
If you're looking for something fun to wear to work, try a suit set with shorts. I love it and you probably will too!
