Although I love my healthy dose of American based fashion companies, I equally love discovering new companies and brands, especially international ones. I was recently introduced to Missguided, a UK brand reminiscent of a few online US fashion companies, but with a twist of its own and of course, affordable prices. After browsing their online store for what seemed like hours, I finally picked out my perfect summer festival or summer party outfit.
As I browsed through all the items that Missguided had to offer, I tried to remind myself to stay focused on what I was searching for. There are certain "must have" elements for my summer festival party look and Missguided provided me with more than enough options to find this perfect outfit. I definitely wanted to sport the crop up top, either with an interesting cut or an interesting print. And my look had to incorporate color and something unexpected.
As I carefully browsed all the tops, I came across the perfect crop top. Sleeveless to keep me cool in the heat, white for extreme versatility, and unique cutouts at the bottom - definitely more than I had bargained for! I love white for the summer and a white crop top only meant that I could go crazier on the bottom.
Whether it's a summer festival I'm planning for, or just a summer party, I'm all about color - who isn't? So this maxi skirt was perfect. I loved the trendy ombre effect it had and with the nude light pink up top, it was the perfect in between color between the blue and my white top. This maxi, with its shorter lining and single sheer chiffon layer allows its mannequin to stay cool and feel like a land mermaid. It's beautiful in the sun with a slight breeze, can you think of a better skirt for a summer event?
For accessories I wanted something simple yet complicated. A necklace was a must since the top has a higher neckline and is solid white. This layered cross necklace I stumbled upon seemed to have been created just for this look. It's on trend, with intricate layers, but still simple enough to let the rest of the outfit steal the show. I couldn't go without any arm candy but again, I didn't want to stack too many, enter the cuff - just enough decoration.
And that, is my final summer festival, summer party look from Missguided. The best was that this whole look was under $50 and you can bet that I'll be mixing and matching each piece again with other items in my closet.
