Caress Passionate Spell Body Wash c/o Caress :: Sabon Body Scrub :: Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
The cold winds of winter seem to suck the moisture out of everything it kisses, the skin on my body is no exception. Luckily, I've found my winter warriors to combat dry, scaly skin.
I don't like to spend a fortune on any one body wash because I love variety. I usually have 4-5 different body washes in my shower so that I have some choices depending on my mood. One body wash that I've found myself picking up more often then the others is the Caress Passionate Spell Body Wash. Caress body washes are one of my favorites all year round, but even more so during colder months, because they offer excellent moisture at an even better price. I've found that Caress always leaves my skin feeling soft, silky, and smooth - which can be sometimes hard to find with drugstore body washes most leave my skin feeling tight and dry. I'm loving the new Passionate Spell body wash because not only is it moisturizing, the scent is beautiful and it actually lasts. Passionate Spell is enriched with a lasting fine fragrance so that the deep, wintery, bold scents of passionfruit and fiery orange rose linger long after you've showered.
After I've washed away the day's dirt, I proceed with a body scrub to remove dead skin. It's especially important to exfoliate in the winter so that your post shower moisturizer can really sink in. There's no point in applying moisturizer to skin that's already dry and dead. When looking for a body scrub, I gravitate towards one that contains dead sea salt. Dead sea salt contains magnesium for slowing skin aging, calcium to prevent water retention, and potassium to help balance skin moisture. And of course, it's a great exfoliating agent. My favorite body scrub is the Sabon body scrub. In addition to dead sea salt, Sabon's body scrubs contain macadamia, almond, and soya bean oil which provide another layer of nourishing moisture, leaving you with only the softest baby skin.
A great alternative to the Sabon body scrub that won't break the bank is the C. Booth All Over Body Sea Salt Body Scrub.
Lush Ro's Argan Body Conditioner
You could actually stop after using a body scrub with some oil in it but because I like to have super soft and smooth skin in the winter, I always squeeze in Lush's Ro's Argan at the end of my shower - and trust me, it's worth it. This body conditioner smells heavenly and does wonders for your skin, I honestly cannot rave about it enough. After you've soaped up and exfoliated, apply a layer of this light rose scented moisturizer all over your body. I like to let it sit for 1-2 minutes while I'm washing my face so that the cocoa butter, almond oil, and argan oil can really sink in. Then you just lightly rinse off and gently pat dry. Your skin will be left with the most luxurious layer of moisture, there's no need for lotion after this step, it's amazing.
So there you have it, my winter must haves to beat scaly, dry skin.
