My eyes were on the verge of defeat in an all too familiar battle with the death's distant cousin, sleep. The interview questions sitting in my inbox, from the editor of a school paper, had to be finished before my mind could succumb to the night because that's what I had promised. The last question blurred before my eyes, in the same way that the answer had evaded my mind all night. Result? I was about to witness the bewitching hour if I didn't think of something fast.

What do you think defines you? An interesting question, one that I had never given much thought to, especially at 2am. What defines me? How was I supposed to answer this question in the limited amount of space provided? But even if I could, would I want to? Could my being and existence really be defined in just a few short sentences? Thoughts of a late night melodramatic spirit are always to be taken with a grain of salt.

Undefined. That was it, that was the answer. I don't think I can be defined by a single word or thing. In fact, I strive to be undefined - it makes life more exciting. I gravitate towards undefined definition, organized chaos. I like to keep people wondering. I like it when others keep me guessing. Take a closer look my dress, is it an unorganized splash of rainbow or just roses, undefined as of yet, nevertheless waiting for a viewer to create meaning?
