There's one thing I hate about cold weather, aside from the heightened possibility of getting sick, layering. Don't get me wrong, I love layering but I also hate layering.
The worst thing that could happen when you've layered, onion style, is sprout an itch, right smack three fourths of the way up your back in that spot that you could have reached had you not gotten greedy in the morning.
And it's not even just the back itch, even slight arm itches can't be satisfied under layers. There's too much cloth in the way to effectively scratch an itch but rolling up the sleeves to reach the itch at the root isn't an option either due to an overall increase in the arm's thickness caused by extra fabric.
Luckily for me, this look was manageable - only two layers. Had I added a fitted jacket, then we might have had a problem.
