Happy Columbus Day everyone! Who else gets today off besides me? At least I think I get today off. When I checked my online calendar, the top was marked 'COLUMBUS DAY' and I had no appointments scheduled. What do you think - day off? Considering that it's currently 2am, I think I'll risk it tomorrow and justify my absence with the fact that it's a court holiday. 

I feel like it's been a while since I last blogged. I've actually missed all you special readers and frequent commenters! Perhaps because we all bonded so well over boy bands last week? Boys - can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em. 

I took the weekend to catch up on some virtual treasure hunting. I much prefer online shopping to IRL in real life shopping. Online shopping just presents such a better deal from all sides of the rubik's cube: Coupon codes to save you $ome green, exclusive online items for all you kids who want to stand out from the rest of the F21 crowd, and if you're a tough egg to crack, how about stress free shopping from the warm comfort of your favorite faux sherpa lined hello kitty throw?  

I hate it when I've just broken a gnarly sweat scouring a modern indoor bazaar otherwise known as Forever 21 in a successful search for the perfect mixed metal spike bracelet, only to have it rudely snatched from me by a teenybopper half my size before my clammy paws have fully released, of course, the last perfect mixed metal spike bracelet, to try on a 'meh let's try this on for fun' jacket. 

And it's like, you know the competition has been stalking you too. She lurks behind every pillar that coincidentally doubles as a mirror, while you slyly catch glimpses of those scheming eyes and sketchy whispers to her accomplice. Hunger Games much?

Now up until last week I would have, no questions asked, busted my bum to score the perfect bauble necklace at the mothership of accessories suppliers. When you hit the accessories section at Forever 21, lights flash gold in every direction, a million bangles are jingling at once the beautiful sound that foreshadows a successful bag of loot; it's an accessories eye trip. 

So what changed last week? ShopLately. That's what changed.
