I wasn't planning on busting any bank accounts the night I picked up these fresh squeezed chartreuse bad boys. I was actually on a simple late night mission to get some famous NYC Halal Guys chicken & rice into my single-tracked belly. I had successfully weaved in and out of the armies of people in Times Square for the first few minutes of my trek only to be barricaded soon after, due to what is known as celebrity syndrome. Cheers with 'gin & juice', I did spot a celebrity. I didn't hit the human wall in time to snap a picture with this famed 'west coast ridah' but I did get close enough to quic-pic his Investigator Gadget hat and his iconic braided pigtails.
But it was a matter of time before elbows jabbed and bodies pushed so I decided to 'drop it like it's hot' and make out of the crowd as fast as I could.
Just as I was beginning to make progress towards 53rd & 6th, my peripheral vision just had to catch that beam of artificial light that somehow illuminated only the 2am closing times on the Times Square shops. So what could I do but temporarily put aside my hunger and let the mustard knits and green studs pull me in. Twenty minutes into my little wardrobe expansion detour, I realized this was not going to be an in and out 'holidae inn' kind of trip. 'It's a jungle out there' and if I didn't leave then, my belly wasn't going to get any chicken & rice.
The night ended well. I got my chicken & rice and I had time to spare, on my return trip, to finish what i had previously started [wardrobe expansion]. And don't forget, I even squeezed some Hollywood into a New York minute. But hold the applause please, it was 'nuthin but a g thang.'

Haha! You spotted SNOOP! Cool! I have to try the Halal Guys on my next trip to NYC, the last time I was there I had something like that from a cart next to my hotel (Sheraton on 53rd and 7th) and that was what I thought one of the best gyros that my stomach took 3 days to digest but still, it was good! Anyway, looking good as always and love the tee!
