Last week was a crazy week. Remember the funk (mentioned here) that I was in? Well that funk unfortunately didn't end when Thursday did. That self-invited punk of a funk decided to stay through the weekend and it completely threw me off. Although, Saturday was an exception, since the funk was successfully countered by my college friends who were in town for the weekend (always a good time with old friends).

I secretly think the funk clung on, like dead gum on a shoe, because I must have spit in the face of the autumn gods when I chose to turn a blind eye to the fall equinox and proceed with my summer get-up on the eve of pumpkin season. So what better way to pay owed homage to my favorite three months (and avoid future funk in the name of superstition) than to don an ombre shirt, oxblood pants (yes I know they look brown in the polaroids, blame it on the lighting), and booties (if there were no illustrations to back this outfit, I'd swear I was describing some starved cowgirl savage just slinking the desert for a kill, buffalo perhaps?).
