I've always considered myself a bird person - I've had parakeets practically my whole life. But about two years ago a little feline visitor began popping up in our backyard. My sister began feeding him treats and teaching him tricks and slowly but surely, she acquired the neighbor's cat. The furry cannon ball became ours this past December when his owners officially gave him to us. That's how we acquired Odie. Then came Luna, my sister's "chocolate teddy graham." She started appearing in our front yard and sure enough, my sister acquired her as well. And just like Odie's owners, Luna's owners have passed her to us. I know my sister sounds like the neighborhood cat burglar, but she just has a big heart for neglected pets. So although I still love my three parakeets, feline frenzy is definitely in the air, thanks to my cat burglar sister!
